Won a Yarmouth claimer for Ann Duffield in May but yet to replicate that form in pair of nurseries for new yard in recent months.

Verdict

INDIE ROCK posted her best effort to date at Nottingham in July and should reap the rewards of a 67-day break to claim an illusive first victory. The two-year-old has to give 6lb to the field after a decent showing in a plus 10 race at York in July but nursery company should suit Mark Johnston's filly and connections will be disappointed if she cannot go close. Cheerful Character bumped into a couple of potentially smart rivals at Wolverhampton last time out and should find this easier, while Foxy Boy completes the shortlist.

Verdict

FOXY BOY possibly found the sharp 5f trip against him at Musselburgh recently given how he had shaped when scoring at Carlisle on his penultimate start, and he could well get back on the up on this stiffer track. Indie Rock who has been given time ahead of her nursery bow is feared most ahead of Cheerful Character.

Certainly wasn't winning out of turn over C&D on Monday, keeping on well to lead close home. Probably didn't have to be turned out under a penalty, but he should still be a factor.

Verdict

This contest was won by the mightily progressive Orion's Bow last year and although there looks to be nothing of that class in this contest, REFLATION could be the one to follow receiving weight all round. The four-year-old can defy a 6lb penalty for his success here last week having already shown a preference for some cut in the ground. Portland Street remains in fine form and is likely to prove popular in the betting, while Gilmer should relish a drop to this class under promising 7lb claimer Lewis Edmunds.

Verdict

The stiff finish here will certainly aid PORTLAND STREET's cause kept to 6f, and despite having his winning run ended last time, he remains a handicapper to keep on the right side of. Monday's C&D win Reflation should be a factor again under a penalty, with Born Innocent another to consider back at this track.

Arrested the slide dropped to selling grade when essentially outclassing opposition over 5f at Thirsk a month ago. Return to 6f fine but this clearly a more competitive race.

Verdict

Not much separates the likely market principals and a narrow vote goes the way of HONEYSUCKLE LIL to claim her first win in over 12 months. The four-year-old shaped with promise at Ayr last week and deserves another chance back over her preferred 6f trip. Rachel Richardson returns to the saddle with her 3lb claim and that could prove to be the difference, with Dutch Mist fancied to pose the biggest danger now wearing a visor for the first time. Posh Bounty's 6lb rise for a recent Ffos Las success is negotiated by Sean Mooney's allowance so a big run from her would be no surprise.

Verdict

The combination of drying ground and an 8-day turnaround found DUTCH DESTINY out at Newmarket in July, but back from a break for a bang in-form yard, is taken to regain the progressive thread. Courier has had a very productive year already and this represents a slight drop back in class, so she is feared most.

Verdict

PEPYS looked to have come on plenty for his debut at Beverley earlier this month and the son of Aqlaam could have been found an excellent opportunity to get off the mark by Bryan Smart. A further step up in trip should suit and the switch to soft ground is not expected to be an issue. Election Day merits respect for a trainer who has claimed this prize five times in the last 10 years, while Golconda Prince is a half-brother to Richard Fahey's flagship star Ribchester and clearly better is expected from him at some point.

Verdict

ELECTION DAY was disappointing at Chester a fortnight ago, but this could turn out to be a good opening for him, especially if the promising Kuraka takes up his engagement at Newcastle on Friday instead.

On a long losing run and is a tricky customer at the best of times, so others more persuasive from 3 lb out of the weights.

Verdict

Rainbow Rebel looks sure to be popular once again following a hat-trick of wins in recent weeks and a 3lb rise for his win a couple of weeks ago looks to be workable. That said, he can be taken on with CHARACTER ONESIE, who found 7f too sharp for him at Chester last time and is better judged on his win over 1m1f at Yarmouth the time before. Echo Of Lightning finished a place ahead of the selection last time but this extra distance can see that form reversed today.

Verdict

RAINBOW REBEL didn't return to the track until last month, but has quickly made up for that with a hat-trick of wins, and he still appeals as being ahead of the assessor. The Chester race in which Echo of Lightning and Character Onesie finished second and third in recently has been very well advertised by the winner since, so they are feared most.

Verdict

LARA CARBONARA has a very good record at this track, having made the frame in nine of her 11 visits here, and she looks to be the safe pick in this event. Azzir has the form to make him a player but he does need to prove himself over this marathon trip, while the form of Tamayuz Magic's recent Thirsk win was boosted when the second won at Beverley recently. That makes a 2lb rise for that win look very fair indeed.

Verdict

FALCON'S FIRE has enjoyed a very productive summer, and suggested he remains in form from his inflated mark when placed at Ayr last week. In receipt of his handy 3-y-o allowance he could be worth siding with in another competitive event, with Tamayuz Magic and Lara Carbonara just 2 possible threats.
